Comcast, a provider of entertainment, information and communication products and services, has reportedly brought it 4G high speed wireless data service High-Speed 2go to Seattle and its surrounding areas. The service will be available to subscribers bundled along with one or more of Comcast’s (News - Alert) Internet, phone and television products and can be accessed via wireless data cards.

The company said it launched the High-Speed 2go, the fastest available wireless speed in the metro area to aid business owners and managers to stay connected always through fast Internet inside the office and everywhere else. High-Speed 2go, when combined with Comcast’s Business Class Internet, will let users access super-fast Internet speeds when and where they need it letting them get more work done anywhere, anytime.

Tom Pierce, vice president of marketing and sales for Comcast's Washington region, said that in today's world, no one wants to be disconnected for even a minute. With Comcast High-Speed 2go, the firm is offering their customers the best of both worlds – the fastest high-speed connection at home and the fastest connection while they are on the go. By having the nation’s first and only 4G service bundled with some of the fastest Internet speeds, they are offering a very compelling package for their Puget Sound-area customers.

Comcast is selling two different data cards and service plans: One is the High-Speed 2go Metro (4G Service) for Comcast High-Speed Internet customers who can now stay connected with superfast 4G speeds across their local area. The Metro device operates only in a 4G service footprint. The other plan is Comcast High-Speed 2go Nationwide service that delivers the fastest metro 4G service plus coast-to-coast access on Sprint's (News - Alert) national 3G network. This data card can be switched between 3G and 4G networks.

Comcast’ 4G service will be offered via the Clearwire (News - Alert) network, and it’s 3G service will be provided by Sprint's nationwide 3G network.

Users for the first time will be able to access both fastest wired download speeds and wireless Internet through the ‘Fast Pack’ bundle which will be available for $49.99 per month for one year. The Fast Pack Metro bundle includes 12 Mbps home Internet service, a free Wi-Fi router for mobility and extended coverage in the home, and 4G service that will provide download speeds up to 4 Mbps when customers are on the go. Users can also choose the Fast Pack Nationwide service for $69.99 a month to access speeds up to 16Mbps with PowerBoost, plus the fastest 4G wireless around town and coast-to-coast and 3G access when on the road.

In other news, Comcast launched high-speed Internet service in California and Comcast NBC delivered Olympic Games on multiple platforms.
