iTeleport Turns iPad into PC Control Device

An application called iTeleport, which is available for $24.99 at Apple's (News - Alert) App Store, lets iPad users employ their new tablet devices to control their computers, a recent report notes.

Not only does iTeleport let the iPad control computers in the room, it also allows users to employ their tablets to access and manipulate their computers remotely via the Internet.

The ZDnet report -- which says once you try the app "you'll wonder how you ever lived without it" - indicates iTeleport addresses many of the functions iPad has been widely criticized for lacking because with this app the tablet can work with a desktop computer to fill the gaps. Those gaps include the iPad's inability to play Flash, its lack of support for multi-threaded apps and an accessible file system.
