Anomalous Networks Forms Key Partnerships in Global TEM Market

Real-Time Telecom Expense Management company, Anomalous Networks, Inc., has formed a number of key partnerships with leading Telecom Expense Management (TEM) companies throughout the global market.

According to this news release, Ovation Wireless Management Inc, plans to begin using the Telicost solution to provide its U.S. customers with a central, real-time view of wireless expenses, including international roaming, projected data or voice plan overages and SMS abuse.

"Combined with our carrier experienced analysts reviewing and acting upon the information that Anomalous Networks produces, we have truly optimized the traditional cost management model that is required to fully reduce our customers' wireless TCO," said Randall Light CEO of Ovation, in a statement. "Now, with the new partnership we can accelerate the process to view opportunities in real-time and act upon them prior to bill cycle dates. This new proactive capability brings incredible value to our clients and the industry."

The FCC (News - Alert) has found that more than 30 million Americans in 2010 were hit with unexpected, costly cell phone expenses that fall under the “Bill Shock” definition. Anomalous Networks will work with its designated partners to reduce this number, and deliver extended value for customers throughout the global market.

In addition to Ovation Wireless, Anomalous Networks has also signed agreements with Australian-based Tracknology; Brazilian TEM firm TeleGestão; and Cotelsa, a U.S.-based TEM company serving the Caribbean with a subsidiary based in Santiago, Chile known as Telenet Chile Ltda.

Stephen Walsh, Director of Tracknology, a supplier of workforce, GIS and mobile device applications, noted, "Bill Shock is a concern for many businesses. The Telicost solution assists enterprises in monitoring unexpected and costly overages on their telecom bills in real-time. This is an exciting time for Anomalous Networks and Tracknology, by launching this world-class product modified for the Australian telecommunications market and wholly supported locally for customers, business, government, enterprise and carriers.

"Anomalous Networks' Telicost solution is designed as a wireless expense management portal that successfully addresses a strong demand in the corporate world for solutions that prevent unexpected, costly overages from occurring on mobile devices. This portal also removes the cost and security concerns normally associated with deploying mobile broadband solutions in the workplace, while increasing the operational efficiency of the IT and HR deployments.

"In the past, enterprise companies relied on TEM firms to analyze their mobile bills after-the-fact in order to ensure carriers were not overcharging them and that they were accurately estimating and planning mobile expenses," said Anomalous Networks CEO Dan Rudich. "Our technology actually gives TEMs the ability to provide real-time tracking and alerting for voice, data, SMS and roaming events helping to eliminate 'Bill Shock' for their customers through a centralized dashboard of the company's fleet of mobile devices. So, instead of looking at the end-users' roaming charges after they hit the bill, the telecom manager and/or TEM can be instantly alerted and instructed to adjust user behavior or telecom plans in real-time. With Telicost, companies can save anywhere between 20-60% on their overall mobile expenses."

To the benefit of the customer, Telicost delivers streamlined reporting on data usage, international roaming, usage anomalies and asset location tracking. Telecom managers and end users each receive immediate warnings when they are approaching limits on their carrier plans. Users can also rely on this portal to provide international alerts to modify behavior or adapt plans to meet end-user needs and company budgets.

With essential historical usage and location tracking features, Telicost can assist telecom managers in automating plan selection decisions. The portal provides Telecom Cost Projection, Mobile Device Usage, Usage to Plan and Device Location.

Monica Basso, Research VP, Gartner (News - Alert), shared, "Real-Time Telecom Expense Management is an emerging trend within the TEM landscape. These real-time solutions are proactive and they target management issues within a single environment. In addition, these solutions allow businesses to make informed decisions regarding their telecom budget."
