VDC Reaches Agreement with Toshiba Hokuto


ATLANTA --(Business Wire)-- Video Display Corporation (VDC), NASDAQ:VIDE, and Toshiba Hokuto Electronics Corporation (Toshiba), Tokyo, Japan, have reached an agreement in which Video Display agrees to purchase all remaining inventory of B/W picture tubes, monochrome display tubes, oscilloscope tubes and projection tubes currently being inventoried and marketed by Toshiba Hokuto.



VDC will assume the responsibility of worldwide distribution of the Toshiba products.

In addition, Toshiba Hokuto will transfer to VDC its existing customer base and customer contacts for all its respective product requirements.


VDC, upon exhaustion of the Toshiba Hokuto inventories, will continue to support the Toshiba customer base, as well as other worldwide monochrome display requirements, with equivalent display products manufactured by its Clinton Display subsidiary of Rockford, Illinois.
