Carl Icahn Says He Will Not Extend $7 Per Share Offer For Lions Gate (LGF)


Jun 28, 2010 (SmarTrend News Watch via COMTEX) -- 6/28/2010-Billionaire investor Carl Icahn announced that he will not be extending his $7 per share offer to acquire Lions Gate Entertainment (NYSE:LGF), which is due to expire on June 30.

Icahn said, "I firmly believe that after the expiration of my tender offer, which will not be extended, the price that Lions Gate will trade at will be lower than $7 per share." Lions Gate Entertainment (NYSE:LGF) is trading off 1.9% to $7.13 on the news.
