Apple Inc. Far Ahead In Talks With News Corp. on iTunes TV Show Rental Deal (AAPL,NWS,CBS,DIS)


Aug 24, 2010 (SmarTrend News Watch via COMTEX) -- Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is reportedly far along in discussions with News Corp. (NASDAQ:NWS) in a deal that could allow iTunes users rent television shows for $0.99, reports Bloomberg Tuesday, citing sources close to the matter.



iTunes users would be able to rent TV shows from News Corp.'s Fox station for 48 hours, the sources say.

The sources added that CBS Corp. (NYSE:CBS) and Walt Disney Co. (NYSE:DIS) are also ready to jump on board with discussions.
