The Choshu Industry Corporation (CIC) has commissioned the SpotLIGHT cell testerat its Sanyo Onoda plantin Japan in order to meet the demanding performance measurement requirements of its innovative cell technologies. CIC is a research and development driven manufacturer with a strong focus on cutting edge photovoltaic technologies such as heterojunction (HJT) and busbarless cells for the development and production of very high efficiency solar modules. The IV testing of high efficiency cells is technically demanding for the quality of the light source as well as for the reliable electrical contact to the cell. As the competence centre for measurement technologies, Pasan has successfully commissioned its SpotLIGHT HighCap cell tester combined with its GridTOUCH contacting solution for busbarless cells at CIC's Sanyo Onoda plant in Japan. They will be used to measure the next generation high efficiency busbarless technologies developed by R&D team at CIC. The SpotLIGHT HighCap cell tester is an innovative solution designed to assess the performance of solar cells exhibiting high capacitance such as HJT. The GridTOUCH contacting solution for busbarless cells is a unique, patent pending industrial contacting solution enabling the fully automated electrical contacting of busbarless cells for production environments.
