During this period, she worked with several high profile clients such as MIT (News - Alert) Medical Center, Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Medical Center, Duke University Department of Surgery, Eastern Virginia Medical School, and Weill Cornell Medical School & New York Presbyterian Hospital. Hickman has contributed to several notable projects, including co-authoring the BHS textbook, "Coding and Documentation Compliance for the ICD and DSM (News - Alert): A Comprehensive Guide for Clinicians," which is slated for publication in Fall 2016 by Routledge, Taylor and Francis. Her other projects included ICD-10/DSM-5 conversion for Home of the Innocents (Louisville, KY), ICD-10 conversion for Diamond Healthcare Corporation (Richmond, VA), and on-going SME advising for various ICD-10/DSM-5 conversions. Ms. Hickman is completing her Master's in HIM this year and has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Statistics from Purdue University (News - Alert). She also holds numerous industry certifications, has delivered presentations, published 45 articles and trained almost 6,000 physicians on ICD-10 standards, and developed 44 specialty and subspecialty physician trainings for the medical industry and her clients.
