Wazee Digital to Support Denver Startup WeekDENVER, Sept. 14, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Wazee Digital, a leading provider of cloud-based video management and licensing services, today announced its participation in Denver Startup Week, Sept. 25-29 in downtown Denver. The largest free entrepreneurial event of its kind in North America, the annual Denver Startup Week brings together entrepreneurs, company founders, developers, designers, and others for a week of networking, learning, pitching, and more. Wazee Digital will lend expert speakers and sponsorship to the event. Wazee Digital CEO Harris Morris will lead a discussion titled “Is Denver the New Tech Frontier?” with a group of exceptional Denver-based top thinkers, which will take place Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. at Basecamp, located in the heart of downtown at The Commons on Champa. During the 90-minute session, one of more than 300 sessions to be presented at Denver Startup Week, attendees will hear several of Denver’s most experienced technology professionals and top luminaries from other fields discussing the prospect of Denver becoming the next major tech frontier. Will it really come to pass? Is it even possible? Why should we care? Do we want it to happen, and if so, what can we do now to increase the odds? What must we do to avoid becoming an also-ran? The participants will take stock of the Denver-Boulder-DTC-Springs region’s assets and liabilities — the things that make it likely for the world’s great technologies to originate from the region, and the things that might cut off growth at the knees. Panelists will also discuss why — or if — making Denver a technology frontier is worth pursuing: that is, how fostering an inclusive, engaged, vibrant tech community can enhance the chances of success, growth, fun, and wealth for the entire region. “Denver is an established and growing technology community with evidence of the makings of a truly great technology hub — possibly. We are right on the cusp, but if we are going to get there, we need a strategy that ensures we become exactly what we want to be from a technology, capital, infrastructure, educational, development, and even cultural standpoint,” Morris said. “There are plenty of smart, visionary people who have been working on just that — so we can maintain control over our own destiny. What better venue to talk about the progress and spark a thought-provoking conversation about our future than Denver Startup Week? The event draws bright thinkers, energetic, curious entrepreneurial folks from Denver and beyond, and I’m looking forward to joining them to share our collective insights.” Wazee Digital is a Partner Sponsor of Denver Startup Week, which is free for all who attend, but attendees must register at denverstartupweek.org. In the spirit of community involvement, professional development, and entrepreneurialism, Wazee Digital employees will also be attending sessions, as well as volunteering their time throughout the week to further support the event. The company will also be a host for the Denver Startup Crawl, Tuesday, Sept. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. More information about Wazee Digtal’s products and services is available at www.wazeedigital.com.
