John Capaldi Joins Tennr as Chief Revenue Officer as Demand Grows for Patient Orchestration PlatformEnterprise go-to-market veterans Dean Sutherland and Matt Stephens also join to scale Tennr's sales organization NEW YORK, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Tennr, the company eliminating patient care delays across the US by helping healthcare providers manage payer requirements, remove operational bottlenecks, and give every stakeholder visibility into the patient journey, today announced the appointment of a new sales leadership team: John Capaldi as Chief Revenue Officer, Dean Sutherland as VP of Sales Transformation, and Matt Stephens as SVP of Customer Experience and Value Engineering. Together, they bring more than seven decades of enterprise technology go-to-market experience to Tennr as the company scales to meet accelerating demand across the healthcare industry.
The additions follow a period of rapid growth for Tennr, which has raised $162 million from investors including IVP, Andreessen Horowitz, Lightspeed, GV, and ICONIQ, and earlier this year added former Cleveland Clinic and Google executive Dr. William H. Morris as Chief Medical Officer. "We couldn't be more excited about bringing these leaders onboard and pointing their talents towards solving the very hairy, no-good black-hole problem facing the US healthcare system," said Tennr CEO Trey Holterman. "I ask every person I interview one question which is: 'what's the best team you've ever been on'. And after hearing enough former teammates of his and folks in my network talk about the time they spent in the 'Capaldi Army' I knew we had to bring him onboard. Much cajoling later and we're very excited to officially announce his role as CRO of Tennr. It's a further testament to his leadership that we've been able to quickly get the gang back together with Matt Stephens and Dean Sutherland. A gang that together has built incredible teams and high-velocity organizations through the last two decades building companies." John Capaldi, Chif Revenue Officer "Tennr sits at the center of a problem every health system and specialty practice knows painfully well: patients getting lost between referral and care or first appointment and follow-up. Customers see the value in the product, and the market is enormous. My job is to build the revenue engine that matches the ambition of this team," said Capaldi. Dean Sutherland, VP of Sales Transformation "A major reason I joined Tennr was the opportunity to work with John Capaldi again. I've worked with John at different points over the past 20 years, and I believe he is a truly transformational sales leader. I was equally energized by Trey and his vision for Tennr. He's determined to solve one of healthcare's most persistent problems, has conviction in what Tennr can become, and possesses the urgency to get it there. The combination of John's leadership, Trey's vision, and Tennr's ability to improve how patients move through the referral-to-care process made this an opportunity I couldn't pass up," said Sutherland. Matt Stephens, SVP of Customer Experience and Value Engineering "I'm most excited to connect go-to-market across the customer journey, from the first demo through deployment and adoption, with a singular focus: driving more value for our customers and better outcomes for their patients. I'm thrilled to be back in healthcare, working on a product that solves real problems for the people delivering care and the patients they serve," said Stephens. About Tennr
